When her parents get home, its not as easy to keep the job. She decides to sign up as a volunteer nurse at the local hospital, which is the same hospital that the assisstant works at. While the assisstant is caring for her brother, Emily finds that she is interested in being a nurse. Emily has to get the doctor's assisstant to care for her brother. After her parents leave for a trip to Paris, her brother gets extremely sick and she is forced to get a doctor from the hospital downtown but the family doctor is out of town. No it is worse because she has two siblings who are going through the same things she did.
